I've been trying to get into the 3D part of graphic design lately, partly due to work and partly for personal curiosity.
I'm not really sure it's my kind of thing and surely there's quite a steep learning curve, but it's something that caught my interest.
I've spent a couple of weekends messing around with Cinema 4D and Blender and while Cinema 4D seems a lot easier to work with, Blender has the major advantage of being completely free (and I have a soft spot for open source software).
Time permitting, I would like to buy a good Blender book during the autumn and get started on learning; who knows, it could turn out to be something not only fun, but also concretely useful for my work.
I think that, like for other things in my life right now, I'm trying to find a cleared path; and trying new things, while also doing a lot of mistakes, is a necessary step.
